Now, though, the race is on to disintermediate the middle men: the financial industry is on the cusp of a revolution, and most of the intended victims haven\u2019t got a clue that they\u2019re already an endangered species.<\/div>\n

Website, blog, software; start with one piece at a time and keep building. You can even digitize faxes<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0free\u00a0c<\/a>onsultations<\/a>. The key is to adopt a hacker’s mentality<\/a>, experiment fearlessly<\/a>, and go with what works<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prepare To Scale<\/h3>\n

Say you survive the apocalypse. The robo-advisors<\/a> have swept the country, but you’ve managed to hang on to a few clients. You’re digitized, and you’re doing alright. You’re going to have to make some sacrifices to keep your head above water<\/a>. The solution? Be prepared to scale.<\/a> You’re going to have to get aggressive. Any good poker player will tell you to take chances when you’re down, and stay conservative when you’re up. Be ready to take on dozens of new clients at once, if you have to. Luckily you’re already digitized, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to scale up from 10 clients to 25.<\/p>\n

Be The Best<\/h3>\n

The only advantage you’ll ever have over the blood-thirsty savages eating their way through the financial services industry is yourself. You’ve got to be easier to communicate<\/a> with than a computer, and you’ve got to be more trustworthy<\/a>, too.
